Soak up the calming views over the water from the top of the dunes. Read a book on the beach just 30 metres from the house, or snorkel just off shore.
Emu Bay is a quiet coastal hamlet located on the northern coast of Kangaroo Island - one of Australia’s greatest scenic treasures and a must for anyone interested in travel to fascinating wilderness destinations. There is a local jetty, boat ramp and safe swimming areas. A great base for touring the island, centrally located and close to Kingscote, this 15 hectare property is yours to enjoy. The gorgeous Emu Bay Lavender Farm is right next door, where you can grab a coffee or a bite to eat. An abundance of local wildlife can be found including kangaroos, wallabies, echidna's and birdlife in the natural bush gardens of this wonderful retreat.

The house can accommodate up to 6 people in 2 QS beds and a double bunk bed. Quality bed linen and bath towels are included in the tariff. The fully equipped kitchen features high quality cookware and equipment and basic supplies.
Perfect for entertaining, wildlife spotting or just relaxing, there's a warp-around outdoor deck with BBQ and wok burner. With zero pollution on Kangaroo Island, it's a great spot for some naked-eye astronomy on a clear night. A crackling log fireplace will keep you toasty warm on cool nights.

Perfect Getaway! The Dune Escape was above and beyond our expectations in all ways. The house was absolutely beautiful and furnished to a very high standard. The view from the terrace on top of the sand dune was brilliant with a quite easy walk down the 100 steps to the picturesque beach. Brian and Kris were friendly and made us very welcome. Booking was easy with no hassle...The perfect place to stay, we would highly recommend it.

WOW! What a setting! Absolute serenity. Lovely, clean and modern comfortable house. Peaceful surroundings. A few steps up the dune to a magnificant view of emu bay beach. Highly recommended. A piece of paradise we hope to visit and stay again.

Tranquil - The location is amazing, tucked behind the sand dunes and overlooking the valley and away from the main roads - a beautiful, quiet and peaceful location. The beach is beautiful with pods of dolphins regularly in the bay, however be ready for a climb back up the sand dune from the beach. In saying that though, the view from the top of the dune is stunning and a great place to enjoy a breakfast coffee or a drink at sunset. The property is extremely comfortable and has everything needed for a relaxed break. Our hosts thought of everything. We enjoyed it and would thoroughly recommend it.
