For those cruising the river by boat, Goolwa Boat Haven provides safe moorings for your vessel with an easy access jetty. Your boat will be secure and located within a few minutes of the Goolwa Town Centre, with the convenience of onshore bathroom facilities and BBQ. Kayaks and bicycles are available for your use.

Explore the historic wharf and enjoy a paddle steamer cruise down the river, or visit the beautiful Coorong National Park with its high sand dune formations facing the Southern Ocean and long, narrow wetland system connecting to the lower Murray River and Lakes area, rich with migratory birds, water fowl and waders. There are several historic buildings in Goolwa, you can take in an ale on the sundeck at the Steam Exchange Brewery, or visit the South Coast Regional Arts Centre in what used to be the police station and court house, circa 1850.
