Close to the mountain hamlet of Warburton just 75km east of Melbourne city where the Yarra River flows crystal clear through a dramatic alpine valley, there are local cafes and shops to investigate. You can enjoy riding through stunning forests by bicycle or horseback. There are plenty of wineries to visit in the Yarra Valley region, or you could simply explore the superb local woodlands of the property, where spectacular natural beauty abounds year round.

Casa Valeri is spacious and opulent, featuring a large living area with a huge limestone fireplace, glorious candlelight chandeliers, large oak dining table and well equipped kitchen. The bedroom has a king size bed with sumptuous linens, chandelier and french doors opening onto a Juliet balcony overlooking the perfumed garden. There is a separate powder room off the bedroom and also the main bathroom with luxury fittings, shower and a glorious free standing Kaldewei bath awaiting bubbles and champagne, next to french windows that open onto the garden. With reverse cycle air conditioning, central heating and the open fireplace, you will be supremely comfortable any time of the year here. We really enjoyed all the personal details, flowers in every room and chocolates by the bedside, as well as the quality of all the furnishings, e.g. linens, cutlery, furniture and room finishes. One of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in, and a welcome surprise was the assortment of bed coverings, so we could get the temperature just right (so rarely an option when staying away from home). Beautiful, peaceful surroundings with kookaburra's laughing from the roof line, splashing water from the fountain and flowers scenting the air.
