The serenely beautiful Mulberry Lodge BnB is a luxury country escape for couples and a perfect place for a boutique wedding. Set in a stunning location with beautiful views over the vineyards of Willunga in the heart of the Fleurieu Peninsula, it's only a short drive to McLaren Vale's best cellar doors and the pristine beach of Port Willunga. Choose from the Garden Suite or one of the Lodge Suites for 1 or 2 couples. Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast and other fine local produce to entice you. A gourmet breakfast is served in the Lodge dining room Saturday to Monday and for those guests staying Tuesday to Friday a delicious breakfast hamper is delivered to your suite with fresh fruit, yogurt, muesli, juice and home made muffins. Platters are available to order, and you can pick your own seasonal fruit from the extensive garden, with apples, pears, plums, peaches, figs, mandarins, oranges and lemons available.
Order a picnic hamper and head out to explore this beautiful region or perhaps a Regional Platter for a lazy lunch while relaxing at the Lodge. Fishing charters are available, and you can tour the wineries by limosine, Harley Davidson, or helicopter. Or take a bike ride along the Shiraz Trail and stop off at a few cellar doors for some wine tasting. Try an art workshop at Red Poles, or a sculpting class at Bella Costa, with a picnic in the forest afterwards. Indulge in an in-house massage with an experienced therapist in Massage, Reflexology and Reiki. Take a picnic basket and a bottle of bubbles and watch the sunset over the ocean at nearby Port Willunga Beach. You can drive to the aerodrome 8 minutes away and take an incredibly romantic flight on a WACO Biplane - imagine cruising at 1000 feet as the sun sinks over the horizon.
Boutique Weddings
Mulberry Lodge is a stunning setting for small and intimate weddings, accommodating 80 seated guests for the wedding ceremony, with parking available for approximately 45 cars. Access to wedding planners, event styling companies, celebrants, florists and photographers is available, to ensure things go smoothly on the big day. A canapes and drinks service is available (BYO drinks). These can be served while photographs are being taken after the ceremony and prior to departure to your reception venue. The gardens offer a variety of colour and flowers throughout the year but for the best display of roses your wedding date will need to be October through to end of November. The roses do continue to flower right through until winter pruning in June but not in the same abundance as Spring time. A special package available for the wedding night in the Garden Retreat.

In Lodge - The Green Queen
This hosted accommodation in the lodge is available for one couple. It has a queen size bed, and a private guest bathroom with shower. Luxury linen, fluffy towels and bathrobes are provided. There's a Guest Lounge with wood burning stove, DVD player and iPod dock. Reverse cycle air conditioning in main rooms with ceiling fans in bedrooms and a guest fridge. Solar heated swimming pool and pool towels provided.

The Garden Retreat Suite
For one couple, the Garden Retreat Suite provides complete privacy with ensuite bathroom but also enjoys the benefits of a hosted stay. There is a large luxurious bathroom with walk in shower and free-standing bath. Very comfortable with a queen sized bed, hand built bespoke Jarrah furniture, sofa, coffee table, TV, Apple TV box, iPod dock, games and magazines. There is also a desk area, built in robe and a fridge stocked with fresh milk, local nuts, olives, home-made biscuits and chocolate. A selection of gourmet teas and coffee are also provided. Your suite has a private shady outdoor seating area with views over the garden and to the vineyards beyond.

Hazel and Nik went above and beyond to make our stay at their beautiful Mulberry Lodge B&B a memorable one! The breakfast that Hazel made us both mornings was restaurant quality! Just absolutely delicious and so beautifully presented with the lovely gardens and vines as our breakfast view. Their location is perfect, just out of town but close enough for us to take their bikes and ride to the nearby wineries. We loved finishing off a day of wine tasting with a swim in their amazing pool! Although two nights was not long enough I left feeling relaxed and refreshed. I can highly recommend Mulberry Lodge, I hope to be back soon!

A lovely hosted B&B. Hazel and Nik are fantastic hosts and went out of their way to make us feel at home & looked after, concluding with a sensational breakfast in the morning. We apparently were their first official users of their new retreat section of the B&B, and highly recommend it to anyone wanting a bit more privacy away from the rest of the house. Beautiful gardens to wander around, plus swimming pool, and of course close proximity to many local wineries and restaurants.

We stayed as bed and breakfast guests at the lodge for a weekend, while the lodge hosted my son's wedding ceremony. We were made most welcome, the bedroom was large and comfortable, the breakfast was beautifully presented. The grounds are large and full of beautiful roses, very photogenic. Excellent base for winery tours. An excellent atmosphere for a wedding ceremony.
