Just off the main street in the historic town of Mudgee is the Soldiers Motel. Pick up some local produce at the monthly farmers' market or in select stores in town - award winning oils from nearby olive groves, cheeses and honeys from local farms, or picked and baked goods from the region. Discover the historic town of Mudgee with its heritage buildings, wide streets, and parklands. Try your hand gold panning or take a drive to Munghorn Gap, a bird watchers' paradise.

Private's Retreat - Queen Spa Suite
This luxury suite features a queen size bed, tiled floor, large corner spa and large shower with bathrobes provided. There is reverse cycle air conditioning, electric blanket, tea/coffee making facilities, toaster, fridge, microwave, hairdryer, iron/board, TV/DVD player, free WiFi and Austar.
General's Den - One Bedroom Suite
A spacious one bedroom deluxe suite with a separate lounge area and tastefully decorated with timber floors. This suite has an ensuite with shower, electric fireplace, TV/DVD, air conditioning, a kitchenette with microwave and toaster, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Bathrobes are provided and there's a hairdryer and iron/board.

My partner and I recently travelled to Mudgee and had the pleasure of staying overnight at the Soldiers Motel (The Queen Spa Suite). The owners of the hotel were very friendly and accommodating, even helping give us phone directions so we could find the hotel without having to travel over dirt roads. The Queen Spa Suite was quite large for a motel room, and all the facilities were clean, comfortable and well presented. We were within walking distance from the main township of Mudgee, located in a beautiful country setting, and had several wineries within a short drive away. The spa in our room was big enough for the 2 of us to fit quite comfortably, and we made good use of it. We found our Queen Spa room at the Soldiers Motel to be very comfortable and romantic...

I cannot say enough about this Motel. Close walk to shopping centre, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and pillows and rooms are tastefully decorated. Owners Robyn and Rob Clarke pay attention to every detail. We always receive a warm welcome. The only place to stay in Mudgee!
