In the grounds of the gracious historic Victorian garden and Buninyong residence Brim Brim, is a converted stone kitchen and a servants building, both now gorgeous self contained luxury cottages. Completely separate from the homestead they are very private, with their own parking area and access via a gate on Hastie Street drive on the northern boundary. Originally built in 1859, the lime rendered and painted solid stone cottage walls provide an atmosphere of country character and comfort, retain warmth in winter and are cool in summer. Comfortable iron beds with luxurious bedding, cosy chairs by a wood fire, plus the pure indulgence of a spa bath make for perfect relaxation.
Take a stroll through 5 acres of beautiful English style gardens filled with ornamental trees, a blossoming orchard, vegetable garden, ornamental pond and bog garden, and several seasonal garden rooms. Ancient exotic trees are living sculptures and a testament to the creativity of those who planted them, like the striking Bunya Bunya Pine, beautiful old Cypresses and the dramatic Moreton Bay Fig. There's beauty all year round, with winter/spring flowers of narcissus, tulips, camellias, hellebores, snowflakes, and iris. A tennis court, bocce court and croquet lawn are available for guests to use, or you could picnic or BBQ in the shade of the very romantic rose arbour.
Ten minutes from Ballarat centre, the pretty township retains its small village atmosphere at the foot of Mount Buninyong. Surrounded by farmlands and wooded ridges, Buninyong's picturesque gold-era buildings and gardens give it an old-world tranquillity and charm. Wander through the village with its contemporary cafes, shops, markets and festivals.

Brim Brim Bliss! Steve and Glenys have established a wonderful retreat at the foot of Mount Buninyong on the fringe of the delightful historic hamlet of Buninyong just south of Ballarat. Our quaint stone cottage was secluded and quiet yet close to the village and walking trails. The generous fresh provisions were the best we've had. The gardens are a delight. But beware: Bruce the beagle has a sensitive nose for the aroma of pan-fried bacon!

The cottage has a magical atmosphere; as soon as you walk in you feel so tranquil and relaxed. Really excellent food and accommodation. Don't think this B&B can be beaten. Will definitely return for another two nights.

Best BnB we have experienced 2x2 nights. Beautifully fitted out with many surprising and tasteful touches. Very private and quiet. Great open fire. Every comfort that we could think of. Perfect supplies and facilities for cooking up your own breakfast. Would recommend without hesitation.
