This multi-award winning Retreat comprises four architecturally designed bungalows fashioned from local materials - with polished mountain ash floorboards, myrtle beech benches and radially sawn yellow stringybark exterior cladding - blending perfectly into the surrounding rainforest, and conveniently serviced by a spring fed mountain stream. In the depths of winter it can snow here - a truly magical experience that can be viewed through floor to ceiling windows from the comfort of an open fireplace, or the therapeutic spa. Native wildlife abounds - platypus, echidnas, wombats and wallabies, birds and wild deer.

Massage
Chances are you might not want to leave your bungalow once you have arrived, so you can order services such as massage or food. The Retreat has two fully accredited massage therapists who can provide couples aromatherapy relaxation massages simultaneously for you in the comfort of your bungalow - a very popular option!
Dining
Imagine dining in - by fireside in winter and alfresco on the deck in summer. Gourmet packs and hampers are available to order including linen table napkins and romantic candles to enhance the experience. Fabulous Gourmet BBQ Hampers are available to pop onto the large private BBQ on your deck or a platter of local delicacies to consume or take by basket into the forest. Accompanied by wine, beer and coffee, all locally produced. Gourmet local & Victorian delicacies include smoked trout & meats, chargrilled marinated & pickled vegetables, prepared salads, farmhouse cheeses and desserts.
Helicopter Tours
With the exciting addition of a new heliport, bespoke winery and lunch tours with tastings are now a great way to impress or spend an enjoyable afternoon, with helicopter transfers departing directly from Woodlands to the winery or destination of your choice.

Visited last year for a mid-week getaway, and decided to come back again this year; it's hard to imagine staying anywhere else after Woodlands. Beautiful, secluded, and so comfortable. Would no doubt keep coming back.

We considered having a weekend away in other country towns and resort style accommodation but in the end we chose Woodlands for the privacy and serenity. If you want to get away from everything, see no one and do nothing but relax this is the ultimate getaway. The private spa bath opening onto the deck was absolute heaven!
